Andrew Frazer is a multidisciplinary artist from Bunbury, Western Australia, whose practice includes public murals, illustration, hand-lettering, design and arts management.
Over the past ten years his artworks have been increasingly found on privately and publically commissioned walls around the South West region. He is also the founder and curator of the Re.Discover Street Art Festival, held in Bunbury in 2014 to 2016, and in Armadale in 2017. Frazer continually seeks to utilise art as a catalyst for community development and a strengthened sense of place. He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions and this will be his sixth solo exhibition.
His narrative art is inspired by stories of hope, despair, redemption, pain and forgiveness – experiences that connect us all through shared stories. Frazer conveys these stories using anthropomorphised characters that have evolved into a recognisable community of creatures with small rounded heads, long feathery ears and fat droopy tails. He mused that "The consistent character through my current body of work is something I've been developing for quite a long time now. He is a storyteller, a vessel, an ability to articulate the unspoken and a conduit of hope. My desire has been to create a character that evokes a sense of familiarity and yet mystery at the same time. I look forward to see how people engage with him in response to their own journey."

The exhibition title, Someone else, somewhere else, is a response to exploring the debilitating fear in believing that there is always 'someone else, somewhere else', doing whatever you are attempting at any given time, better than you; and the hope discovered when discarding this lie. Andrew Frazer's artworks are indeed unique and full of hope.
